Partnership with parents is central to what we do in our school. ‘Ní neart go cur le chéile’ is our school motto. We encourage parent involvement through our very active Parents’ Council or by contacting the school directly. Parents’ views are very important to us.

Our fantastic Parents’ Council helps our school by running projects, hosting events or assisting improvements such as our library or school garden. Being on the Parents’ Council is a fantastic way of getting to know the Principal, teachers and the wider school community. Being a member of the Parents’ Council is not just enjoyable, it gives you reassurance and confidence in the school that’s educating your child. Our Chairperson for the Parents’ Council is Karen Dunne.

Examples of how the Parents’ Council supports our school are:

  • Assisting the school in policy formation
  • Setting up for a coffee morning

  • Making other parents welcome

  • Cake sales

  • Covering books for the library
  • Giving teachers the occasional extra man power

  • Providing teas and coffees at various events

  • Supporting school production

We understand that you cannot always be available, so we have a pool of names to call on – which is not very often! If you would like to get involved with our Parents’ Council, please do not hesitate to contact us.
